Long overdue Shower Filter review

Oh Shower filter how I love thee!! To cut a not so long story short, it’s fantastic and everyone should get one….like right now….seriously why are you still here?

My hair is always so soft now it just kills me. When I get the trifeca of filtered water, moisturising shampoo and deep conditioner just right, I have hair that I could only dream about previously. This week, my trio has consisted of Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo and Suave Professionals Humectant Conditioner (j’adore this and will review soon!).

Instead of a standard review to explain how I feel about the shower filter, I thought I’d do it in the form of FAQs.
Enjoy!

How easy is it to use?
VERY!! It was pretty much plug and play. The shower head seems to fit most hoses.
How do you know it works?
Because not just my hair but also my skin is softer and more hydrated. I’m one of those cheapskates that only moisturises the parts of her body on show that day. That used to mean that everything above my feet and elbows remained dry and ashy. Not any more, whether I moisturise my body or not, I don’t get dry, ashy skin….that’s the filter at work baby.
What has it done for your hair?
Made it as soft as a baby’s bottom and not just any baby but a baby that’s been bottle fed exclusively on fabric conditioner (please don’t try this at home). My scalp is also not as dry as it used to be, but then again I’m using Growth Support Serum as well.
What would you change?
I do wish the shower head was a bit wider and not so clunky. It’s not very aesthetically pleasing and the stream of water is quite narrow. We have very low pressure in our house so this added to the small shower head, means it takes me twice as long to properly rinse my hair.
Was it worth it?
Errrm….duh!! Every twelve months, I will be faithfully purchasing the replacement filter. Yeah it’s £30 but healthy, soft, happy hair….well that’s priceless!

I have a confession to make, I too have succumb to soft water. I am now living in a house wired up for softness! The only thing that's not soft is the drinking water, everything else is. We use half the amount of washing powder and washing up liquid and I've stopped using fabric softeners. Same with hair shampoo and conditioner – less is more!
